Whether you are a fan of his or not, Stephen King has sold a gazillion books and knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the craft of writing and the business of getting published.  Truth is, as authors, we all should read more. We should read to learn the rules, understand the language better, and decide which stories work and which don’t.  But do we?

Reading helps us appreciate the turn of a phrase, the finer points of words, and ideas to expand upon. Reading helps us push past writing plateaus and roadblocks, and challenges us to improve our craft.
